Laem Pak Bia is a Royal Project that was set up as a water treatment project that uses natural processes to maintain mangrove forests. The Project is situated by the sea and it has an abundance of wildlife in the mangrove forest along with world-class bird watching opportunities.
Entrance to the Project is free providing you register at the entrance. From the entrance you can hire a bicycle (THB 20), walk or take the shuttle to the mangrove forest. There is a route through the mangrove forest where you will find mangroves, meder’s mangrove crab, mudskippers, ghost crabs and varieties of birds.
