Rajabhakti Park was built to honour past Thai kings from the Sukhothai period to the current Royal House of Chakri. It was built by the Royal Thai Army to show the peoples’ loyalty to the institution of the monarchy.
The park is in three sections:
- The 7 Great Kings Monuments.
The giant bronze statues with an average height of about 14 metres each
- The Plaza
To be used for ceremonies and other events.
- The Museum building
This hosts collections of Thai Royal history and Royal duties of 7 great kings of Siam.
Most foreign tourists will not learn much (if anything) of this history of these monuments. However, the park is still worth a visit for the photo opportunity haven that it is.
